Roelof & Kirstyn

As most of our friends and family know, Roelof and I met on Tinder. After a couple of months of speaking on WhatsApp, Roelof finally plucked up the courage and asked me out on a Koffie date. 

We met at Blos in Pretoria East and ended up going to the movies that same evening. The movie of choice was Aquaman because we were both unsure if you pronounce it as Aq-wa-man or Oq-wa-man. For those who haven’t watched the movie, this is only revealed at the very end. 

We soon realised that we had way more in common than we thought, like our love for animals, the outdoors and spending quality time with the people we love. 

We got engaged 3 and a half years later at Ngwenya lodge, which borders our favourite place in the world, The Kruger National Park.
